Do People Tip Anymore???
**Wow, how times have changed! AL and I come from an era where tips were a sign of appreciation. They gave us the confidence to do better each time, hoping for a larger tip as a sign of progress. Nowadays, receiving a tip is almost unheard of, even from clients of our age group who should know better. What happened?
I can't accept the excuses of "everyone can't afford to tip" or "they didn't mention it, so I didn't tip." It's not about assuming that just because there's a Bentley SUV, a Range Rover, and a classic Jaguar in the garage, you should expect a tip. Or because this is your client's third home, and their daughter and full-time maid both have $5,000 purses, you should expect anything. It's about continuing to do your job the best way you always have, without expecting a tip, even if you've been working for these people twice a month for two years. But shame on non-tippers.**
