RENTAL SHOWINGS CAN BE DANGEROUS

I understand the importance of one's home and the desire to handle all aspects of its maintenance and upkeep yourself sometimes to avoid the cost of hiring a professional service. However, I would like to caution you against this practice. There have been numerous reports of individuals scheduling appointments to view a house, condominium, or apartment and then robbing, or assaulting the owner, who is usually alone. I myself was terrified when I found myself alone in a two-story house with a man who said he thought I was pretty and asked for a hug. I urge you to exercise caution when showing your own property. Don't go alone. Please have someone with you.  Even if you take your dog. Yes, even your Fur Baby can smell a RAT!
